Our firefox “addon” (well, opensearch xml) has got around 162 downloads last week, with another 40 or so this week, but where are the quotes?, Don’t hesitate to submit quotes!
Also, for those who don’t know what I’m talking about:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11989
I fixed some stuff on quotebucket, not much has changed. just the following:
A better search page
header searchbar fixed
and others.. just look around and you’ll see.
The stripper has been updated again, now it removes colour codes aswell as bold chars etc.
In total it removes the following:
Timestamps (common, nonamescript, escript; etc)
The ASCII character 1 (^A)
Replaces « and » with < >
Removes colour code characters (^C)
Removes ^O
and, removes bold characters (^B)
Anymore? simply email webmaster@quotebucket.org to get them added.
QuoteBucket now has an XML OpenSearch addon, For Firefox it is available at:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11989
I’ve been noticing people adding quotes with the ascii 1 char, which obviously makes stuff invalid. To help fix this I have updated the stripper to remove that char too; (If they’re found). The new stripper is available at http://quotebucket.org/static/stripper.js
We have a new moderator, Welcome. Nick!
(in total we have 8!) I think that’s enough for now
You will now see a “QDig” link on each quote next to the rate function, this allows you to digg that quote. Hopefully this will build up Quotebucket.org, although we will have to see if it works or not. It works, obviously; but will it get us traffic? That will be for you to decide!
Old news, but if you use QdbS 1.* (the same software Quotebucket.org uses) then you might want to check out the themes I’ve done, they’re available to preview/download: here and here.
This includes the quotebucket 1, 2.* and bash 1, 2.* themes.
I’ve now added the RSS feed to http://quotebucket.org, (You’ll see the RSS icon in your browser, next to the favourites icon) of coarse, this is just a simple <link rel=”…” />
Thanks to rss-synd.tcl we now have live feeds displaying in the channel #lobby on EScriptIRC, This includes live feeds from discordia’s hacktalkblog and there probably will be another few to come.
