Bash.org – How they get their own way.

By EcKstasy, June 30, 2009 4:16 pm

Lately, there has been a little overheat at Wikipedia after the owner of Bash.org, Blaxthos, who nominated an article related to quote databases. “List of quote databases”.

Looking over the articles’ nomination and looking into some past events and history about Bash.org on Wikipedia (and outside Wikipedia) brings some conclusions as to whether or not they do it on purpose. Obviously, there is proof that they did nominate that article in bad faith. Anyway. the reason as to why Blaxthos is trying to get “rid” of all the articles relating to a quote database can be found on articles such as this, this and this (which are basically history articles). as pointed out by Tothwolf at Wikipedia

…and for those interested in exactly why User:Blaxthos has been trying to get rid of all the “quote database” articles, including bash.org, see [8] [9] [10]Tothwolf (talk) 23:58, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

After the article was deleted, and being accused of “bad faith, and canvassing” (these are Wikipedia words, don’t worry). I then received a “Talk” message from Blaxthos:

I have opened this discussion regarding your conduct. //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 02:11, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Now, Isn’t that just nice?

Adding it all together

With the history about Bash.org, and how the moderators left the site on a “strike” for new management features, “The owner of the domain said. ’screw you guys, i’m not fixing anything’.” he then obviously fired his moderators, making them go over to qdb.us along with the original founder. Thus also making bash.org unusable (and still unusable) along with a massive quote queue.

blaxthos

Yes, this is believed to be Blaxthos. Where we got the image from; we won’t tell. But all in all he looks like a criminal on smack. Enough of our rantings and back to the point.

A bunch of articles were deleted on Wikipedia (as noted above) relating to QDB’s because this man couldn’t get his own way. He then abused the internet community even more.

  • Michael Jackson: The thriller curse

    mjdeath

As you know, Michael Jackson recently passed away due to overdosing on Demerol -a painkiller similar to morphine- and then suffered a cardiac arrest.

On IRC networks around the world I have spotted hits of his past (how he was accused of child molestation, and so on). and now the same people, all in different channels on different IRC networks claim something has happened in the past 4 hours of what they said. Things such as “lightning nearly struck my house”, “a plane nearly landed on my garage roof”, “my dog got ran over by a bus with the Michael Jackson: Thriller poster printed on the side” aswell as other claims. I would not know if this is true or just a wind up, but we are declaring “The thriller curse”; Watch out. it may become a future meme.

    lightning

A car was also struck by lightning at a car park in the middle of the night. This is a screenshot taken from a security camera after the male began muttering “Thank god that pedophile is dead” as he heard the sad news on his car radio, Luckily. the owner of the car survived.

    Some updates

    By EcKstasy, June 24, 2009 11:53 am

The footer doesn’t overlap the left and right sides of the page text anymore when the browser window is resized, instead it can be resized as with the main page columns. still to fix: navigation bar, If the browser window is resized to something stupidly small, the navigation menu goes all over. Either I fix it or I tell users to use common sense and resize it a bit bigger.
